hi all,
I just received another business requirement based on the legacy system, today, all sales orders received by 23.00 PM are shipped the next day and all orders received by 10AM are shipped the same day, They also use the rush order business process whereby these special orders are shipped the same day irrespective of what time of the day the order is received, Our project manager is keen not to have too many sales order types, so it seems we have to use the standard order type for this process.
Another requirement is to change a standard order into a same day delivery if the customer calls and requires a same day delivery, They currently have this business functionality in their legacy system
In SAP , this will mean transportation planning date, material available date, loading, pick/pack date, goods issue date will have to be the same, how can we achieve this functionality in SAP? There is a manual work around process but we are keen to build a system that can handle different sales scenarios
The customers are also using a logistics calendar as part of the ATP process, It is a Z table used for scheduling deliveries based on postal codes, what week day is the shipping date and the lead times assigned to the postal codes, so it seems they are currently by passing the tradition route determination process, The Z table ensures that the actual delivery date in the sales order is accurate, The Z table is updated regularly from data provided by the Logistics transport provider
This is another requirement we have to implement in SAP, any ideas, tips and suggestions will be gladly welcomed
Thanks
